Z - Rally Driving Experience - Taster (R/T/G)

Extreme fun and extreme exhilaration on this Rally Driving taster session. Your experience includes a training session in a skid car set up to simulate a rally car. You will also drive a rally car on either tarmac or loose surface stage. You will be in the skid car either driving or as a passenger for about twenty minutes. Your individual time with the rally car will be approximately 10 minutes and includes a high speed chauffeured ride by your instructor! A real white knuckle experience. It is very important that you read the activity information below to ensure that you get the best out ot your chosen activity. We have tried to answer as many questions as possible here, however if you cannot find the information you need then please check our Frequently Asked Questions page. If you want to book your experience within two days (or less) prior to the actual experience date, it would help with our administration if you could confirm that we are available to expect your online booking by contacting us via 'phone - before actually making the booking. Contact the sales office 01507 668119 (office hours 9am - 5pm). If you are unable to get through, and in extreme circumstances, the duty manager 07831 585211. If the calendar shows a date as being available, then this is generally the case, but after office hours or on some occasions when activities are booked at short notice, your booking may not be received before the experience date. In rare circumstances instructors may not be available at short notice so we recommend a phone call first to ensure your experience goes smoothly! If you don’t get a reply/ speak to someone, we cannot guarantee that your experience will be available.

Availability - This activity is run on selected weekdays and Saturdays throughout the year, with various start times both morning and afternoon.

Duration - Up to 2 hours including brief, debrief and 20+ minutes in a vehicle. On a full course you will be outside at the activity for an hour and a half. This time may be less if not running a full team of five. If you are the only person doing the activity you will still have 20 minutes at the activity but not spend time waiting for your turn and hence will be at the venue for a shorter time. If you have a full team you get the same driving time but with the addition of extra time being a passenger in the skid car whilst other team members have their go, also gaining valuble tuition at this time. The course ends with the presentation of a certificate for all participants.

Numbers - You will share this activity with up to 4 other drivers in your team.

Restrictions - A full UK drivers licence is required to take part in this activity. You must also be fit, able bodied and 17 year of age or over. Please ensure you have read and understood our terms and conditions.
High speed events such as Rallying are not suitable for those with heart, back or neck conditions, nor if you are pregnant.
Maximum weight is 114kg (18stone), maximum height 1.93m (6ft 4”0, minimum height 1.57m (5ft2”). If you do not fit inside these measurements however, please contact our office as we may be able to accommodate you with prior notice.
If you are not 100% able bodied but feel you could drive this vehicle safely then please call us to check if this is possible.

Clothing Required - Participants should wear suitable driving footwear such as trainers or soft soled shoes. Suitable outdor clothing for the prevailing weather conditions are a must for your own comfort.

Spectator Information - Guests are welcome and we encourage specators to get as close to the action as safely possible, however we do ask that all guests are prebooked. Refreshments (tea/coffee/hot chocolate/orange/biscuits) will be available free of charge for yourself and 3 guests. We charge £5 for extra spectators. You can also pre-book taster sessions for your guests at a discounted rate to really make it a day out that everyone will enjoy.

Meal Arrangements - Meals are not included in this activity.

Weather Restrictions - This activity will only be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions that limit participants ability to get to the venue, or to run the event safely, in which case you will be notified in advance. It is snow and ice that is likely to stop the event running so, if this is forecast, please contact the venue as late as possible before setting off to check that the event will be able to run. Please ensure you include all of your contact telephone numbers and an email address at the time of placing your booking.

For almost all of our courses, the more people that book together, the cheaper the price per person!

For some of the less expensive courses, the price displayed is THE only price and is not affected by the number of places booked. All other prices on this site are shown with an automatic £5 per person/activity web booking discount already in place. Should you wish to book over the phone an additional £5 admin fee will be payable.

We have tried to show as many dates as possible for our events but if you can’t find a suitable date, it may be possible for us to initiate another activity date in special circumstances.
