The Venue is a long way from where I live, are there places to stay locally?

Yes, there are places to stay that suit all budgets and needs - from classy Hotels with golf complexes and health clubs, to comfortable Bed & Breakfast accommodation some of which welcome pets. You can stay in the pretty local market town of Louth or you can find a hideaway in the Lincolnshire wolds - there's a wide range of places to choose from. See the local info and accommodation section of the website for more details and links. Why not make your driving experience into a weekend or mid-week break? It won't break the bank!

If I stay locally, is there anything to do in the evening?

Yes, Louth is 5 minutes away from Manby Motorplex and there are good restaurants, a cinema, and pubs to suit all ages and tastes! If you want a country pub with a friendly atmosphere, or a bar with a more lively feel, Louth is just what you need! The local Wine Bars and Nightclubs are open all hours and are friendly and fun.

How long will my course last?

All of our courses have different durations, please see the activity information pages for more details. From this you will se your time at the venue as well as time at the activity.
What type of terrain does the course take place on?

This will depend upon the individual activity that you have booked. However here at Manby Motorplex we are famous for our 'real' rally stages that incorporate loose surfaces and tarmac stages. Our Off-Road driving terrain is extreme and also very 'real'. Our off-road and rally stages are regularly used to host rallies and 4x4 off road driving events and race meets throughout the year, and we are confident that we provide some of the very best driving terrain anywhere in the UK.
What is your next available date?

On our website you can check availability for all of our experiences and book a date live on-line with instant email confirmation. When you have chosen the experience you would like to take part in, click the 'book a date' button on the activity information page to see a calendar of available dates and times.
Can we bring spectators?

Yes of course. At Manby Motorplex we encourage spectators to get as close up to the action as is safely possible. You are allowed up to a maximum of two spectators free of charge to share your day. Any extra spectators will be charged a small fee of £5 per person to cover the cost of refreshments and insurance. If your course involves lunch then your guests are also welcome to join you (at their own expense).
Can spectators get involved with anything on-site?

There are usually a variety of activities taking place on-site, so your guests can pre-book for taster sessions or longer activities, (subject to availability) - at a discounted price – including artic/juggernaut driving and 4x4 off road driving. Spectators usually get the chance to ride alongside their drivers (depending on the number of drivers) for a small fee of £10 per person. And, if that isn’t their thing, then they can always walk the dog on the 470 acres at Manby Motorplex. On certain days, you may be able to book the kids onto an archery course! During some of our skid control courses your guest can sit in the rear of the skid car with their video camera, during your final timed run – what a great memento of your day!
Is there anywhere we can get refreshments?

Yes. We have a club house which provides refreshments for you and your guests on arrival, and also has a TV. We also have hot and cold drinks vending machine. On busier activity days you can also buy bacon butties.
Should it be pouring down with rain spectators can take cover in comfort whilst you are being put through your paces.
Are children allowed to spectate?

Children are of course allowed to spectate but we remind you that Motorsport can be dangerous and ask that you ensure that they are well behaved and overseen at all times, especially near the activity areas. Why not pre-book the children onto an archery course or if they're over 11, onto an early driver course, they'll love it!
Can we do the course in our own vehicles?

Under normal circusmtances and for health and safety reasons, we can only provide activities in our own vehicles. Please contact the sales office if you have reason to want to use your own vehicle on-site.
Should I be booking my course at a particular time of year?

Manby Motorplex operates all its experiences throughout the year - however we would advise that if you're looking for your 4x4 course to be as challenging as possible you should look to book in the wetter times of the year. Rally courses also change slightly depending upon the time of year. In the wetter months we use more tarmac and in the summer more loose surface stage mileage.
What sort of clothes should we wear?

Think practical, warm and waterproof. Even in the summer, rainy days are not much fun if you don't have the right clothing. Recommended clothing information will be sent to you along with your booking confirmation, but you should generally remember that Manby Motorplex is a working site and even though we have clean smooth tarmac around the clubhouse and parking areas, surfaces near the activities may be uneven and slippery at times, so sensible footwear is a necessity.
Do we need to hold a driving license (if so do we need to bring it)?

Yes. All of our driving experiences require the participant to hold a full UK drivers licence (except for Early Driver courses). You will be required to show your drivers licence at the time you arrive for your course. If you don't have a driving licence but feel you would be safe to drive, please contact us to discuss the possibility of participating in one of our one to one experiences.
Is there an age limit?

All of our main driving activities have a minimum age limit of 17-years. Early Driver courses are available for drivers aged 11+.
Do I have to be physically fit?

Most of our experiences are physically demanding, and we ask that you are able bodied and able to drive safely. Please contact us directly regarding any specific concerns you may have. If you have a physical disability we can very often provide a driving activity, but please contact us to discuss your disability and the driving activity you would like to participate in - a registered blind person had a fantastic time driving a tank for over an hour on a one to one driving course.
Can I buy an open dated voucher as a gift?

Yes you can - all of our courses can be booked with an open date (all vouchers are valid for 10 months from purchase). Click 'Buy a voucher' on the top menu to see all our voucher options.
What facilities do you have for the disabled?

We have good access, good viewing areas and disabled toilets.
What is your bad weather policy?

Your activity will be cancelled only in extreme weather conditions, in which case participants will be contacted by email or telephone so it is essential that all relevant contact details are included when you make your booking.
How do I redeem a voucher?

If your voucher has been bought over the internet you can redeem it for a date online. Click the 'Redeem a Voucher' link on the top menu, enter your voucher number and follow the instructions. If you prefer to speak to one of our sales team, or to redeem a voucher that was bought before October 2004 then please call us.
Can I book a direct date and time?

Yes! If you know exactly when you'd like to come for your driving experience then you can simply book your place(s) directly online by clicking the 'Driving Experiences' link on the top menu, selecting the activity you would like and booking your date. A voucher only needs to be bought if you want to choose your date at a later time. If the date you would prefer is not available, please contact us as we may be able to add the activity to our day's schedule.
